Cave Spring, you get busy in the summer, wow!! Here's a list of upcoming events happening around town from the Official Website of Cave Spring, GA and a few extras of my own (tons of links!!) I'm sure I missed a few things, and I'll add them in as I discover them.
Friday May 24th is the last day of the school year! Graduation for Coosa High School students is at 7:00 pm.
May 25 2013 BBQ Sale
The Cave Spring Activities Committee will be selling Boston Butts, ribs and BBQ plates/sandwiches. This event will be held beside John House's Cave Spring Chapel beginning at 11 a.m. For more information call 706-844-8514. Butts weigh between 8-10 lbs and cost $30. Ribs are $15.
May 25 2013 Softball Tournament
Slow pitch softball tournament beginning at 9 a.m. at the Cave Spring Ballfields. For more information contact Larry Hestely, Nancy Fricks or Jason Garrett at 678-246-8868
May 25 2013 - Sep 2 2013 Cave Spring Pool OPENS!!

Monday May 27 is Memorial Day, a national holiday.
Tuesday May 28 is the beginning of the Children's Summer Reading Program through our public library system. Children can sign up to receive coupons and prizes for the hours read each week. The program begins the week after school is out and runs until July 18th.. Signup any time after the program begins at the library. Each week the library will host special programs, crafts, and movies. Look on the website for a calendar of events and the brochure is here. There is no charge to participate although some workshops and special programs have a supply fee of around $5.

June 8-9 2013 Cave Spring Arts Festival

Sunday June 16 is Father's Day.
July 3 2013 Fourth of July Fireworks
A fun day of BBQ and Fireworks. Starting at 3:00 p.m. in the Casey's parking lot. Fireworks to be held at 9:45 p.m. For more information contact Billy Wayne Abernathy at 706-331-7457.
Thursday July 4th is Independence Day, a national holiday.
July 27 2013 Cave Spring Motorcycle Rally
Rally will take place at 100 Davis Rd. (Holt Property) on Cedar Creek. Registration ($10) begins at 9:00 a.m. Parking on site. Poker Run ($15 first rider, $10 passenger, $10 each extra card) begins with first bike out at 10:30 a.m. and last bike in at 3:30 p.m. with the final stop on the run in downtown Cave Spring. Merchandise and food and beer vendors will be on site at 100 Davis Rd. Bike Show registration is from 3:00-4:00 p.m., judging at 4:30 p.m. 50/50 raffle tickets all day. A concert with live music by GA Blues Brothers, Mr. MeanR, Cherry Vendetta, and Black Friday begins at 2:00 p.m. Primitive camping available Saturday night only.
