AHHAS Heritage Arts Camp





We have scholarships to give away for our camp!  We need children or adults with children to attend!  Here is the info:
Event:  AHHAS Heritage Arts Camp
Date:  July 20-22, 2015
Location:  Hearn Classroom Building, Rolater Park, Cave Spring, Georgia
Hours:  9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Fee:  $120
Ages:  Aged 10 and up
Description:  The 2015 Heritage Arts Camp for ages 10 and up offers intergenerational learning.  Two workshops may be chosen from these four:  Clay houses textured and painted with instructor, Holli Chaffin;  Pysanky, the Ukrainian art of decorating real eggs with wax and dye, instructor, Erin Barkwell;  making a quilt square and adding embroidery with Sandra Salmon, instructor; and creating an old-fashioned 3 or 4 legged stool of wood using hand tools, instructors Jesse Hambrick, and Bob Pridgeon.  All materials are provided.  Each student must bring a lunch, and adults may attend only if they are accompanied by a child of at least 10 years of age.  Several scholarships are available on a first come, first served basis.  Go to www.ahhas.org for applications, call 706-233-2517, or 706-331-2725.  Registration 8:30 MondayJuly 20.
